We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Technical Business Analyst fully remote opportunity. The schedule is working Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Our current opportunity is a remote position but will require periodic travel to our corporate location and other locations.COVID-19 Vaccination:USF requires all applicants to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before commencing employment. The Strategic Planning group is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team. This individual will serve as the customer-facing side of the technical IT organization, working with our internal customers, vendors, and partners, to optimize services within the USF Service Catalog with an eye for consolidation, standardization, and streamlining of those services.This individual will help design, document, facilitate the creation, modification, termination, consolidation, and optimization of enterprise workflows, playing a key role in facilitating the organization's rapid growth. This position entails documenting the current state and analyzing for improvements, ensuring that workflows are designed and implemented in an optimal manner, documenting existing workflows in high detail. The successful candidate will have expertise in a variety of tools, especially Confluence and standard work-flow diagramming software. This individual will be expected to possess the ability to add value across multiple areas of the business through effective process analysis, requirements development, and documentation - in addition to being comfortable in both an enterprise business environment and a highly technical environment.Job Responsibilities:Actively promote, analyze, and evaluate services with an eye for standardization, optimization, and consolidation.Manage partners and vendors including but not limited to contracts and renewals, procurement and provisioning, relationship management, and overseeing the health of the services within our portfolio.Track adoption rate and usage of services, general health of the service and the relationships with key stakeholders.Create workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment. Validates documentation with the customer and shares with project stakeholders. Applies thorough understanding of business processes and user needs to formulate and define system scope and objectives.Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to understand and document complex business needs, often eliciting hidden requirements and/or clarifying vague or unclear requirements.Participate in requirements gathering sessions with end users.Analyze business operations and processes to understand strengths and weaknesses.Preemptively troubleshoot workflow challenges and recommend improvements.Create requirements definition documentation and functional specifications to capture business needs using advanced business processes.Conceive of, and supports, the design of projects that may require integration across multiple technical platforms. Analyzes information requirements that may cross multiple systems.Track progress of projects to ensure alignment to requirements; manages any deviations from requirements to ensure resolution.Support the definition of requirements, and how to best address them, considering the goals of the whole organization.Identify potential opportunities to automate and/or improve existing processes.Implement workflow automation using a variety of tools and resources.Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and key breakdowns of workflows.Perform first-level user acceptance testing to ensure that solutions meet business goals.Respond to staff questions regarding effective use of our systems for daily tasks.Work with key stakeholders to develop an ongoing roadmap of system improvements.Work with department stakeholders to capture and maintain prioritized list of projects and technology opportunities.Communicate with key department stakeholders regarding project status.Basic Qualifications:5+ years of professional experience in large scale enterprise environment.An understanding of ITIL practices.Maintains current knowledge of industry and business process trends and is able to apply that knowledge to existing business processes with a focus towards process improvement.Possesses familiarity with multiple technologies, business analysis tools, development methods and systems, and relevant programming languages, specifically visual workflow diagramming tools such as Mindmanager and/or MS Visio.Understanding of complex business processes and is capable of documenting them in a logical and comprehensible manner.Good understanding of the general competitive landscape from a business and technology perspective.Experience working with an ITSM ticketing system.Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with collaborative team skills.Ability to think critically and solve complex issues.Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experience working with classified information such as HIPPA, SOX, and financial data.Requires some physical labor; must be able to lift 40 lbs.Ideal Qualifications:A bachelor's, or higher, degree in a technical field.7+ years of experience documenting and implementing workflows in a large-scale business environment.Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.Experience with Smartsheet for Project Management and Confluence for documentation.
