Responsibilities:The individual in this position is responsible for analysis, planning, development and maintenance of SSI"s operations as they relate to data warehousing, business intelligence and reporting systems and platforms. Assistance with creation and maintenance of workflows in Microsoft products and programming support related to various web platforms, including Microsoft"s Dynamics 365 applications (CRM, Field Service, GP), and SharePoint.The analyst/developer will be at the forefront of an initiative to migrate current reporting techniques to industry leading reporting tools, providing the organization customized dashboards and visualization tools to drive business decisions.The analyst/developer will further the use of a business intelligence platform to represent key statistics and KPIs to support the business.Strong SQL skills are required: troubleshooting and optimization to create and maintain efficient solutions, as well as creation of SQL stored procedures.The ability to extend applications and leverage existing functionality and capabilities to meet business needs.Communicate with business/functional groups to gather specifications, develop strategy and design solutions based on SSI"s business needs. This position interfaces with users in all areas of the organization frequently.Analyze highly complex business requirements and generate technical specifications. Design, develop, test, deploy, and modify technical solutions and BI content for use with other applications. Create requirements and design documentation.Design and manage data warehouse components for solutions that take into consideration the value of performance, scalability, operability, flexibility, affordability, and ability to be audited.Contribute to and apply process, procedure, and standards to optimize quality and efficiency. Coordinate and perform required unit, system, and performance testing.Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and cubes based on business and technology requirements and industry standard best practices, observing software development standards, change control procedures, and security requirements.Design and develop dimensional data models, ETL/ELT frameworks and processing, metadata management, and operational data integration.Create and maintain complex reports including sub-reports, graphical reports, formula base and consistent, well-formatted reports. Assist other IT staff with creation and modification of reports.Create and maintain technical and user-focused documentation of BI-related platforms.Document customizations and applications in accordance with department and JSOX rules where applicable.Apply a working understanding of established security standards and operating procedures to ensure all systems operate with optimally secure configurations. (Daily)Assist and mentor IT staff in order to enhance the strength of the department and the personal skillsets of co-workers.
