Our mission is to provide superior-quality, innovative, information technology solutions that help federal agencies best aid, serve, and protect the American people.Job Title: Unarmed Security GuardBased at: Sykesville, MDQualifications:High school diploma or its equivalent.One (1) year of experience in security/law enforcement work or one (1) year of military service documented by a DD214.Certified as a security guard by the Secretary of the State Police or currently certified by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions as a police officer.Current First Aid certification by the American Red Cross.Current CPR/AED certification by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.Duties:Guard the premises against fire, theft, pilferage, malicious injury, damage, and destruction and unauthorized entry.Notifies the local fire department in case of fire, the local police department in case of theft or unauthorized entry.Routinely make building rounds to check for fire, unauthorized persons, mechanical system alarms, secured doors, unnecessary lights, open or unlocked windows etc.Maintain an entrance and exit log by permitting only authorized persons to enter the premises.Ensure that visitors are seated in the reception and waiting areas, in a quiet and orderly manner, while waiting to be attended.Monitor in-house security cameras.Participate in fire drills and disaster control drills.Assure no unattended, unidentified packages are left in the lobby, restrooms or public areas of the facilityWhy Sanford Federal?You can take pride in working for a company dedicated to serving our government by providing the best, most cost-effective solutions for the US Government.
