The Kitchen Manager/ Cook and Cooking Assistants are responsible for the preparation and cooking of foods to include soups, sauces, salads, meats, entrees, desserts, catering and all other items determined by Mt. Zion's administration. The Kitchen Manger with report directly to the Dean of Communications & Career Guidance. The Cooking Assistants will report directly to the Kitchen Manager.Duties and Responsibilities: . Station setup prior to meals with appropriate equipment and food to be determined by the supervisor.. Maintain a clean and safe work area via supervisor instruction and applicable health, safety and food handling regulations.. Always Provide customer service in a courteous manner.Essential requirements: . Comprehension of both verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions and techniques required for preparation of daily menus.. Follow all outlined menu and health/safety regulations with regard to food preparation, equipment use and personal hygiene.. A Positive "can-do" attitude. Order, receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate and stow all food and supply orders and deliveries.This position may be called upon to perform other jobs as determined by the supervisor.We are located in Prince Georges, Md in the city of Lanham.
