To learn more about our exciting organization, please visit us at We are seeking a Pharmacy Support Analyst to join our team and support our client in Falls Church, VA. Federal Ceiling Price (FCP) Support: The Department of Defense (DoD) receives Federal Ceiling Prices in the military treatment facilities and the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy program. Through authority provided in Section 703 of the FY08 National Defense Authorization Act and the final implementing regulation, DoD now obtains similar federal pricing discounts in the TRICARE retail network pharmacies. Successful applicant must comply with federal contractor vaccine mandate requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The position requires understanding of technical and clinical requirements, ability to conform to government contracting processes, strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask while performing with the highest professional conduct. The successful candidate will:Provide support for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy Refund program, Federal pricing initiatives and other related tasks.Assist in reconciling manufacturer quarterly refund payments and disputes of Defense Health Agency (DHA) refund utilization data.Track, monitor, and maintain metrics on dispute resolution and reconciliation of manufacturer payments.Draft/ assist in preparation of information papers, briefings, standard operating procedures, and audits. Maintain, monitor, and track the UFVARR Requests mailbox, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers website, and DoD FCP SharePoint site.Serve as the primary point of contact between the DHA Pharmacy Operations Division (POD) and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers regarding the TRICARE Retail Refund program and reconciliation of manufacturer payments.Serve as the primary point of contact between the POD and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Health Information Technology (HIT) regarding access and use of the TRICARE Retail Refunds Website (TRRWS).Serve as the refund program functional point of contact for TRRWS requirements, security upgrades, and future enhancements.Solicit technical information from various Government and civilian organizations.Monitor, schedule and assist with action items as required.Organize work group meetings and record notes from meetings as required.Assist in development and revision documentation of policies, processes, and procedures.Attend meetings as requested and performs other related duties as assigned.Act with autonomy towards the mission and vision of the POD.Provide administrative support to the POD DoD Uniform Formulary Beneficiary Advisory Panel (BAP).Attend the quarterly BAP meetings and assist with registration and set-up as needed.Make copies of BAP meeting materials and arrange for transportation to the meeting site.Perform other duties as required by managementWork Experience:At least two years' work experience in pharmacy, preferably a pharmacy technician. Experience working with pharmacy billing and/or refund processing with one of the following entities: pharmacy or chain drug store; health plan, insurer, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical manufacturer. Familiarity with processes associated with, pharmacy billing for retail prescriptions, standards for refund calculations, submission of pharmacy refund documents, resolution of disputes associated with pharmacy receivables and payment detail, preparation of monthly performance reports, National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) standards for refund processing, validation, and dispute resolution, pharmaceutical pricing, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio) with analytical skill to support pharmacy claim analysis, excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with Military Health System and TRICARE pharmacy benefit preferred.Job Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applicationsMeticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skillsEnthusiastic, proactive, positive attitude with good listening skills and high integrityAbility to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and companyThe ability to work well independently or with a teamEducation:Preferred Bachelor's Degree or at least two years' experience in pharmacy billing or collection experience.Preferred National Certified Pharmacy Technician or state registered Pharmacy TechnicianCertificates, Licenses and Registrations:United States citizen capable of obtaining an IT-2 position of Public TrustCommunication Skills:Excellent communication, verbal and writing skillsDemonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.Travel:Willing to travel as neededEnvironmental Requirements:Remote work in a private and suitable location until COVID restrictions are liftedPrivate high efficiency home internet access is required until COVID restrictions are liftedPrivate high efficiency home phone or mobile phone service is required until COVID restrictions are liftedMust have access to AdobeMust have access to a card readerMust have access to a scannerStandard Monday through Friday day schedule, with some extended hours at timesWhile in the office, may be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds This will be an onsite position in Falls Church, VA after COVID restrictions are liftedThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position.
