Overview Indotronix is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer for a full time direct placement opportunity with the world's largest Aerospace & Defense company. In Maritime Undersea-Mission Operations portfolio our engineers design, build, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government (Defense and National Security) customers. We are looking for a highly motivated team member for our Systems Engineering Capability to support programs across our portfolio as a Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) Engineer. As a Lead Reliability Systems Engineer you would provide vital mission assurance support for programs in development as well as Operations and Maintenance (O) phases. You will interface across all engineering disciplines (Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Electrical) to perform RMA as well as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) across complex systems. This challenging opportunity provides growth and exposure into the larger set of Maritime Undersea programs. This position is located in either Herndon VA or Huntington Beach CA. Primary Responsibilities: Work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment while managing all aspects of reliability for an embedded system. Develop, validate, and decompose verifiable reliability requirements that meet high level customer reliability, availability, and life requirements. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to verify reliability and availability requirements for systems though analyses such as, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and limited life item analysis for system, sub-system, functional (electrical/mechanical), component and device level. Provide quantitative reliability inputs to trade studies based on reliability theory, including the impacts of the selected technology, applied stresses, quality, redundancy, temperature, wear-out, and environmental impacts such as destructive single event effects (SEE) and operational life cycle material fatigue analysis for platforms. Review supplier submitted reliability analyses for technical accuracy. Present reliability plans and results at design reviews as the System Reliability Engineering focal This position requires an active US TS/SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Experience with RMA Knowledge of RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) processes Experience with FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): Knowledge of systems engineering processes and practices Experience with presenting RMA analysis Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
