Debit Operations Process and Project Manager

Who we are:

The Debit Operations team manages the complex ecosystem of suppliers, systems, and processes that put our Debit and ATM cards in the hands of our customers and ensure that every dip, tap, swipe, or online transaction gets processed quickly and securely. Bank Operations also ensures that every transaction exception gets resolved and manages the daily movement of tens of millions of dollars to fund our customer transactions and ensure that all parties in the payment chain are made whole.

Debit Operations and Exceptions recognizes the importance of continuous process measurement and improvement, risk management, and knowledge management within the Debit organization. These bodies of work are key to enabling well managed change in a dynamic payments environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong people leadership skills, the ability to communicate and influence effectively, drive flawless execution, and have the ability to identify and implement process improvements. The responsibilities of the role span across multiple functions including finance, risk management, communications management, project management, process improvement, organizational effectiveness, and change management.

General Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 process and project management associates
  • Develop, maintain and convey Debit and Exceptions subject matter expertise including processes, systems, regulations, vendors, and industry information
  • Communicate business problems and results succinctly and in a way that drives desired outcomes
  • Spearhead annual process documentation reviews and process owner sign-offs
  • Lead annual FMEA review and update activities
  • Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
  • Manage the Debit "Change Well" process
  • Partner with Risk and business owners to design and implement event/issue remediation and mitigation plans
  • Design and produce metrics to measure process management, project management, and risk status/health


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of combined experience in Process, Project or Relationship management
  • At least 2 years of experience in People Management
  • At least 1 year of experience with Google applications such as Doc, Sheets, Slides, Drawio, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Communications, Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant military experience
  • Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
  • 7+ years of combined experience in Process, Project and/or Relationship management
  • 5+ years of experience in People management
