During the last 18 months, Identiv has strategically acquired solutions in the video analytics, mobility, and next generation of access control solutions which represented a major strategic step towards Identiv's vision of converged, highly secure yet frictionless access to information and places through a single identity and a single infrastructure platform, and in the near term, this is a significant opportunity for us to capitalize and grow this business exponentially.--Our Solutions Engineer works alongside the Federal Direct and Sales Engineering teams, technical support, and product managers to accelerate the design, installation, and start-up cycle for all Identiv products. This is a newly created position as part of our customer-facing sales engineering team, based on the DC area but covering the Mid Atlantic region supporting many of our key Federal customers.Primary responsibilities include providing superior system design support to our trained channel partners and continually promoting a positive brand reputation within our reseller and end-user network and beyond.These major job functions include providing very capable design and installation expertise available to our Sales Team and regional channel partners. This position will function as a trusted advisor, designer, trainer and solutions thinker, advising on all technical aspects of how the Identiv solutions solve specific customer problems. This position is focused on building an Identiv products subject matter expert in the assigned region.Duties included, but are not limited to, the following:Ability to travel around the United StatesAssist sales managers, account managers, and sales engineers with potential opportunities during site visits by identifying needs or gaps to help grow the Premises Unit businessProvide solution and design expertise with Channel PartnersAdvise Channel Partners with deploying and/or designing applications such as: Hirsch VelocityVelocity VisionFreedom/LibertyEnterphone3rd Party Integrations Liaison to field installation teams with the various resellers Capable of performing one or two day refresher hardware training sessions to field installation teamsMaintain the training and lab environments Work with QA teams on Identiv and 3rd party productsRequirementsMust be US CitizenMust be able to pass a federal background checkMust have at least 3 years of Hirsch experienceSome applied experience working with Local, State and Federal Government agencies on solutions, policies, processes with physical access control systemsWorking knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and Windows 10Experience with virtualization technology including VM Ware or Microsoft Virtual Server a plusSuperior problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExceptional customer service, overall communication and technical writing skillsAbility to communicate and work with other internal departmentsAbility to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of teamDemonstrated aptitude for providing exceptional customer service in sensitive environmentsProvide service and customer support during field visits or engagementsManage all on site installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and task supportDiagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutionsCapable of performing in-person and virtual presentations and live demonstrationsBenefitsWe're a community of committed professionals who focus on our customers' needs and bring the optimal security solutions technology to meet - and then exceed - their needs.
