Job SummaryEmerging Tech is seeking an individual to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Engineer to provide VistA/Cerner expertise to interface efforts. Collaborate with system integrator and provide expertise to ensure the interface design and development meet VA requirements. Support interface design, development, test, and cutover planning from a technical perspective. Review and provide comments on interface artifacts. Serve as project manager between multiple technical teams. Minimum qualifications: 5+ years of professional work experience. Ability to create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained Able to coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed Ability to see projects to completion in addition to performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management Experience with VA VistA and/or DoD Health systems as well as Cerner/EHR deployment Experience with engineering and technical aspects of system/medical device interfaces Experience with technical change management / configuration management, requirements management, especially as they relate to prioritization Experience with large scale IT implementation Experience with SDLC Experience with Executive reporting Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or technical discipline. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
