Rapidly expanding group mental health practice seeks seasoned Billing Specialist.We are seeking a candidate with 4+ years of progressive experience handling the full-cycle billing needs of a mid-sized group medical practice with excellent organizational and time management skills who consistently achieves results.Experience in a billing role is essential. Familiarity with AthenaHealth EHR, Revenue Cycle Management, Clearinghouse procedures and basic financial reporting is strongly desired.Duties include:Regularly dropping and submitting claims daily to insurance carriers for processing.Able to work on appeals and rejections.Regularly work Accounts Receivable from payers and patients.Perform individual account analysis for patients and answer patient billing questions.Assist with monitoring and actively collect on patient balances owed to practice.Tracking denial notifications and maintaining claims tracking system for denied claims.Checking and monitoring patient insurance benefits prior to their first intake appointment and alerting patient of benefits.Creating and maintaining patient's cards on file to ensure timely patient payments.Reviewing missing claims monthly with clinicians and ensuring timely submission of all claims.Reviewing EOB's for payments and posting payments regularly.Reviewing payments and fee schedules to ensure proper reimbursement.Reviewing clinical documentation to ensure proper coding is submitted.Runs EHR reports to monitor Accounts Receivable, striving to have all insurance and patient collections settled within 90 daysPerforms coding and chart auditsRequirementsMust have a minimum of 4 years of progressive Behavioral Health full-cycle billing experienceThorough knowledge of coding and billing practices, A/R management and insurance requirementsStrong financial and analytical skillsHighly organized, self-driven, proactive with collaborative team approachJob is completely remote, so must be independent and drivenBenefitsQuince Orchard Psychotherapy provides comprehensive benefits:Group health insurance with 50% employer contribution (eligible date of hire)Dental plan, vision plan, health/dependent care flexible spending account, disability insurance, and life insurance coverage3 weeks paid personal leave, 4 paid holidays 401K employer match after 3 months of employmentPerformance bonusProfessional, collegial and positive team environmentWhy work with us?
