Our Audit team serves closely held and publicly traded companies.An Audit Manager is in a position of advanced technical aptitude and supervisory responsibilities. Tasks: Detail review of audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industriesReviews financial statements and disclosures for appropriateness in form, content, completeness, and accuracyAdvanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standardsIdentifies audit and risk management issues and proposes potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and PartnerPrimary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnelPerform a detail review of teams workflow and monitor tasks that are assigned and completed on a timely basisOversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-upSupervise, train and mentor audit staffStays current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements Skills: Mathematics - Using mathematics to solve problems.Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Computer Skills Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email and accounting software programs.Generates new business annually, from new & existing clients (determined by Geography, Discipline and Industry leaders)Solicit internal experts from across the Firm to assist in marketing & selling firm services to existing clientsIs actively involved in community, social, business, and professional organizations, to generate referral sourcesIs actively involved in product development and product sales that will enhance market opportunities to generate revenue (determined by Discipline and Industry leaders)Actively promotes the Firm in all venuesRepresents the firm and area of expertise by making presentations at third party events.Participates in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention and team-building activitiesEffectively develops, supervises, trains, coaches, and mentor staffCompletes performance reviews constructively and timely, both written and oral, as well as providing ongoing feedback throughout the performance yearEffectively manages people with poise and professionalism during stressful times, especially during peak periods of client engagement and deadlinesPromotes the ideals, values, mission, and vision of the firm.Commands respect as a leader; acts like a role modelConducts self with the utmost professionalism and demonstrates respect towards othersRespects and embrace diversity; looks to build a One-Firm team spirit amongst staffMaintains appropriate compliance with all firm wide and local office policies and proceduresPromotes the most efficient operations of the Firm and supports compliance guidelines in managing others Experience and Education: Experience and EducationBachelors in AccountingMinimum Bachelors degree or other recognized business credential5-8 years in relevant positionPublic accounting or other professional services environment preferredEstate, Trust, and or Non-for-Profit tax returns a plus.License / CertificationMust be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant, licensed)
