A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Baltimore, Maryland (MD).Responsibilities include: * Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation, and Success in all activities and interactions * Act as a business partner to internal and external operations teams by providing qualitative and quantitative accounting/financial oversight, supporting the shared responsibility of upholding the financial health, and wellbeing of a portfolio of communities * Maintain and review monthly workpapers, perform reconciliations, review GL data, post journal entries * Prepare, analyze, and participate in the presentation of detailed monthly performance summaries to a variety of stakeholders * Calculate and recommend monthly distributions to funds and external investors * Act in mentorship role to staff and portfolio accounting team, providing technical, and professional guidance/oversight to promote development and career progression * Compile and analyze complex financial data, recognize trends, anticipate results, resolve issues, investigate, generate potential solutions, and make recommendations * Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field * 4-5 years of Accounting or Finance experience, preferably in residential property management, assisted and independent living or public accounting, or comparable combination of education and experience * CPA and/or MBA preferred education, experience, and certification * Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general ledger applications * Experience working with Yardi Voyager accounting software preferred * Ability to approach role and responsibilities from a foundation of customer service, teamwork, and partnership Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
