A dynamic organization with a growing team is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Ashland, Virginia area.Responsibilities- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Help with internal and external audits as required- Perform special projects as assigned- Accomplish full-cycle A/P- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Expertise in Process Payments- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)- Expense Reconciliation experience highly desired- Credit Card Payments experience preferred- Proficiency in Research Analysis- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
