Loudoun Education FoundationPosition: Bookkeeper and Office ManagerThe Loudoun Education Foundation is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to support its general financial management and administrative operations.Position SummaryThe Bookkeeper/Office Manager will report to the Executive Director and play an integral role in the daily operations of the Foundation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and enthusiastic about the Foundation's mission to provide resources for students and teachers to reach their full potential. This is a full-time position that will be mostly in office, but can be remote up to a quarter of the time.Specifically, the Bookkeeper/Office Manager will be responsible for: Preparing and maintaining accurate accounting records and correlating supporting documentationSupporting monthly and year-end close processesProcessing accounts payable and receivableCreating processes to improve efficiency and reduce error related to account receivables and payablesPreparing monthly general ledger account reconciliationsSupporting all external and internal audit activities and inquiries to include preparing all audit documentationSupporting the administration of all benefit programs including health, 401K and paid time offMaintaining administrative support related to communication and reporting to the recipients of the Foundations 8 scholarships and grantsGeneral filing and office dutiesTaking and reporting minutes at monthly board meetings. Other duties assigned by the Executive Director. Ad Hoc projects in addition to moving payroll in house. Managing the payroll processRequired Professional Qualifications. Proficient in Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online. General understanding of accounting and best practices. Quickbooks online certified preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external entities to maximize performance and creativity. Strong problem solving and researching skills. Exceptional organizational skills, results-oriented with high sense of urgency.
