Gol Homes is hiring a full-time Construction Superintendent to join the Construction team. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing multiple single-family house construction sites.*Specific duties include:**Provide on-site project supervision to ensure project goals or objectives.Oversee subcontractors on each job site and provide direction as needed.Work with suppliers and trade partners to schedule and track materials and equipment deliveries and installation.Supervise the delivery of concrete and other large delivery vehicles to ensure no damage to neighbor's property (damage curbs, walks, aprons, yard ruts, etc.)Perform field quality inspections and enforce corrective action as needed to ensure quality control requirements.Manage scope of work to ensure timely, accurate, and quality completion of work.Coordinate and ensure on-time municipality inspections (Building, VDOT, Zoning, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Keep jobsites clean on daily basis. Promote and maintain housekeeping and a safe work environment.Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications for single family house construction and renovation, identifying and resolving construction issues.Interpreting contracts, construction drawings and details.Coordinate required tests with third-party testing to ensure subcontractor's compliance with contract documents.Monitoring construction progress, preparing daily reports, documenting installed work, report the progress to the management.Maintain "as-built" drawings.Ensure proper job sequencing.Prepares 3 week look ahead schedules.Coordinating project work with utility companies (electrical, gas, water, sewer), affected businesses, residents, community groups, and other stakeholders.Monitoring and enforcing safe working conditions and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.Other duties as assigned by manager.**Minimum Requirements:**Strong customer service, supervisory and communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including subcontractors, laborers, engineers, managers, planners, and citizens.5-10 years of experience in single family home construction projectsAbility to read construction documents, details, specification, and product dataFamiliar with construction standards and local codes and regulationsWorking knowledge of OSHA safety regulationsCriminal background check will be conductedThis position requires travel around DMV for site visits, various meetings and field inspections.
