Your JobThe marketplace optimization team builds systems that improve Indeed's marketplace of job seekers and employers. For this, Indeed uses different machine learning models to recommend the employers the right setup for sponsoring jobs at Indeed, helping them leverage signals from the marketplace at a particular point in time. You will directly influence Indeed's monetization strategy and its marketplace future by building and supporting these machine learning models in production. You'll work closely with data scientists on their definition and you'll be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure to support them in production. You'll work on the multiple ML Ops challenges involved in maintaining machine learning models at their best performance at all times.ResponsibilitiesUse your expertise in building the infrastructure for maintaining machine learning models in production.Help scale data pipelines for real-time processing of large amounts of user behavioral data.Design and build systems that help employers find the best candidates and help job seekers find their dream jobs.Have ownership over the things you build, help shape the product and technical vision, direction, and how we iterate.Work closely with multiple teams to improve the highest-trafficked parts of Indeed, including the homepage and job search.Work closely with the product managers and stakeholders so that they can leverage your work into new products and systems.Work closely with a world-class team of software engineers and data scientists solving fundamental problems in the marketplace of job seekers and employers.Get the satisfaction of knowing that you helped connect people to that perfect job that's just right for them.Who You AreRequirementsBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related computer technical field with 7+ years experience programming in coding with OOP languages, Java is preferred.ORMS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years experience programming in coding with OOP languages, Java is preferred.ANDMinimum 5 years professional experience in back-end engineering with significant experience with large-scale, high-performance systems.Prior experience building cloud-based solutions, especially on AWS.Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.Experience in making data-driven decisions for improving products.Experience in ML Ops, building data pipelines, and productionizing machine learning (test, training, and monitoring) environments.Strong communication and collaboration skillsExperience with Agile methodologiesWe get excited about candidates who,Have a passion for your work and the problems you solve.Are passionate about collaboration and making others around you successful.Have a strong sense of ownership in everything you build.Have experience in making data-driven decisions for improving products.Are passionate about supporting big data and machine learning technologies to solve challenging problems.Who we areWe are a rapidly growing and highly-capable Engineering organization building the most popular job site on the planet. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
