Employment Opportunity Inter-Con is searching for motivated individuals to fill the exciting role of an Armed Diplomatic Security Officer. In this role, you'll work as a galvanized member of an elite team of security operators protecting some of our nation's most critical assets. You will be part of the comprehensive security solution to protect ours and visiting nations' diplomats across multiple locations in the United States. Position Required Qualifications: 1) Must meet the basic qualifications for a Uniformed Protection Officer (see below). 2) Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an EDD handler, or equivalent law enforcement/armed commercial guard explosive canine handler experience. 3) Qualify with the pistol and M4, re-qualifying as required by SOW. Duties 1) Serve as an EDD handler. 2) Perform package and vehicle inspections and limited searches of individuals, as described in General Orders 3) Perform daily maintenance training. 4) Maintain the day-to-day health and welfare of assigned detection dogs. 5) Maintain all assigned canine-related equipment. 6) Perform basic canine emergency first-aid as needed. 7) Provide emergency response to situations such as security alerts, civil disturbances, suspected or actual criminal violations and/or other life-threatening situations. 8) Provide facility patrols for security, fire, and safety as described in General Orders. 9) Observe building occupants and visitors for compliance with rules and regulations. 10) Discover, prevent, and detain, when authorized by law, persons attempting or having gained unauthorized access to Client's controlled property. 11) Summon professional assistance and render First Responder First Aid to individuals who become injured or ill while in buildings, or on property under the control of the Client. 12) Process visitors into Client's facilities SBU - CONTRACTING AND ACQUISITIONS 13) Perform such other functions as may be directed the COR.
