Automotive Parts Stock Clerk & Driver Kia
DARCARS Kia of Frederick is now hiring for a Parts Stock Clerk / Driver! As the Parts Stock Clerk & Parts Driver you are responsible for maintaining and organizing the parts department inventory in addition to selecting, verifying and delivering parts to customers and/or other dealerships in the general prescribed market area of the local parts departments. Check in and stock all orders upon receipt Assist in taking inventory of parts Mark items with identifying codes, such as price, stock, or inventory control codes Notify the parts manager of any parts that are received damaged or missing from any type of order Ensure all parts shelves stocked using the space available in an efficient manner Receipt all special order parts Maintain a special order file and ensures that all customers are notified of the receipt of their parts Notify the appropriate service manager when the special order parts that were ordered for their team have been received Notify the parts manager of special order parts that were ordered by the retail or wholesale counter Maintain a backorder file Assist in picking up emergency orders and making deliveries Ensure that all the shipping requirements of that company have been met Follow federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information Prepare merchandise for shipment Assist all customers and associates in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter associates, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries Pick up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and/or vendors Pulls and fills orders from stock, as directed Ensure that parts to be delivered matches invoice, verify that invoice matches PO (purchase order) for each pick-up Secure and unload parts truck each night Assist with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts Maintain a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork and delivery schedule High School degree or equivalent Excellent communication skills to explain parts information to customers and associates Knowledgeable about automotive OEM parts Experience working in an automotive retail parts position 2-3yrs Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds a plus Must be able to lift up to and over 50 pounds Availability to work on Saturdays Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age Must have a valid Driver's License Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background) This job advertisement in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
