The Director, BVCC will lead the internal Walt Disney World Resort (WDW) construction organization, Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC). This organization is responsible for executing construction projects across the WDW site and holds professional licenses for Unlimited General Contractor, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pools. The Director will lead and inspire a team of 40 Walt Disney World Resort cast members and approximately 1250 union trade people in the field. They will be responsible for leading a culture of safety and overseeing all phases of the construction process including bidding, top quality implementation and close-out for all construction projects on property. This position reports to the Vice President, Construction, Manufacturing, Horticulture, Pest Management and Textile & Distribution Services.Basic Qualifications :Minimum of ten year progressive construction leadership experience with a major hospitality brand, theme park or related industryExperience in Project Management and Construction Management processesDemonstrated experience creating, negotiating, and managing construction and manufacturing contractsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision, inspire and motivate others in a positive way to achieve desired results and develop a high performing teamProven blend of business acumen, independent judgement, strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on leadershipProven track record of driving efficiency and effectiveness in large teams through established and creative metrics and collaborationProven track record driving change and innovationProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment with minimal directionProactive communicator and relator who can interface effectively at all levels in the company and can appropriately influence business results through negotiation, influence, and personal presenceDemonstrated successes in teamwork and identifying and developing leadersDemonstrated compassion and commitment to diversity and inclusion, including inviting diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment, and supporting workforce diversityHolds Florida Certified General Contractor's License and is current with Continuing Education RequirementsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a Union environmentRequired Education :Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering is requiredAdditional Information :#DPEPFLA
