The ideal candidate is one who is ready to launch and grow a career in financial planning during an exciting time in the industry. This Financial Services Paraplanner individual will be comfortable working in a small, team-oriented firm where they will be involved in all aspects of the business, learning, and shaping the way we care for our clients. They will gain valuable experience for developing a long-term financial planning career. Financial Services Paraplanner candidates that fit into our firm and culture will embrace technology, enjoy a collaborative environment, and hold in high regard serving clients in a fiduciary capacity.This Financial Services Paraplanner role will work with an experienced Certified Financial Planner(R) professional, providing financial planning and investment advisory support. Key responsibilities for the position will include preparation and delivery of financial plans, portfolio administration, investment research and analysis, insurance strategy implementation, and coordination of clients and their needs. Specific areas of focus will include:Preparing financial analyses and financial plans for clients.Assisting with analysis, proposals, rebalancing, and administration of client investment portfolios.Conducting investment research, reporting, and analysis.Providing support for processing client service needs.Assisting with creation and implementation of workflows and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance client experience.*Note: The role will be performed REMOTELY to start and eventually transition to working physically in our offices in McLean, VA.EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of experience in the financial services, financial planning or wealth management industry (ie Client Relations Manager, Client Associate, Associate, Paraplanner, Executive Assistant or other related capacity).B.A. or BS degree; preferably in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a Business-related field.Ideal candidates will be enrolled or have completed a financial planning educational program leading to certification (ie, CFP, CPA and/or PFS designation is preferred).Knowledge of financial planning software/CRMs is a plus (ie, eMoney, Envestnet, Redtail, and Wealthscape, Morningstar, etc.).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (ie, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks.Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team environment.Proven customer service skills with the ability to identify, meet, and follow through with client needs and requirements in a professional manner.High level of personal and business ethics and integrity.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Compensation is commensurate with experience - Includes Base Salary + Bonuses + Benefits.Customized career and educational development program.Reimbursement of approved professional development expenses.Note: For immediate consideration, please submit your resume in MSWord or PDF format.Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Washington, DC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Experience:Financial Services: 1 year (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
