We are committed not only to helping our partners save valuable budget dollars but also to doing our part to make the world a better place.Responsibilities: We are hiring a Staff Accountant who is responsible for supporting all accounting and financial related activities. These include AR, AP, journal entries, credit card entries, account reconciliations and general ledger accounting. The Staff Accountant will work closely with other accounting team members, and report directly to the Controller to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of financial and management reports. The applicant should be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well with other people.Duties: Perform professional level accounting duties according to GAAP.Prepare month end journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with all accounting functions.Process customer invoices daily.Set up new customers and run credit reports.Monitor Accounts Receivables and assist collection effort.Process weekly Accounts Payable check run and monitor when invoices are due.Accounts payable review and entry, expense account review and posting entries.Process freight bills and continuation billing.Process sub rental invoicesDaily bank transactions, cash applications and bank reconciliations.Process, reconcile credit card transactions and code to accounts.Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general journal accounts as needed.Not limited to above but additional duties as assigned.Requirements: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field OR minimum 1-3 years' experience in accountingStrong working knowledge of accounting principles and practicesAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict and demanding deadlinesJob Type: Full-timeExperience: QuickBooks - Online and Desktop Application: 1 year (Preferred)Accounting: 1-3 years (Preferred)Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)Location: United States (Required) commutable to Rockville MDLanguage: English (Required)Work authorization: United States (Required)Work Location: Rockville MDBenefits: Waiting period may applyHealth insuranceRetirement planPaid time off (Vacation/Sick Days)Paid HolidaysThis Company Describes Its Culture as: Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focusedTeam-oriented -- cooperative and collaborativeThis Job Is: A job for which construction experienced candidates are encouraged to applySchedule: Monday to Friday at Rockville MDJob Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Work Location: One location
