Responsibilities:Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers and speaks network devices and firewalls.Proactively manage and maintain servers.Administer and support core Linux, Microsoft, and VMware technologiesDevelop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plansDesign and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will facilitate a hands-off environmentDefine and document best practices and support proceduresProvide after-hours support, if needed, for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance.Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentationAssist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiationsMentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologiesCarry out special tasks at Management's directionInteract with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.Other duties as assigned.Required Experience/Qualifications:Bachelor's with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience or equivalent work experience.MCSE Core Infrastructure CertificationConsidered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise. Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.In addition to education and certification, the following are required:Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2008-2021) / Desktop Operating Systems (10,11)Managing deployments/rolloutsManaging Azure Virtual MachinesManaging server virtualization technologies like VMWareServer/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual ServerA solid understanding of LAN/WAN networkingActive Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, user/group administration, and group policy design and configurationMicrosoft IIS administration and configurationStrong communication and documentation skillsFlexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentMust be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying lengthPositive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independentlyMust be a team playerPreferred Experience/Qualifications:Microsoft InTuneLinux/UNIX administrationAbility to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issuesLAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks)Special Requirements/Security Clearance:Position requires proof of COVID-19 full vaccination status or qualified exemptions
