You're constantly evolving, so shouldn't your opportunities be, too?The OpportunityThe position is a key role of EFSI's Fraud prevention team, managing multiple complex fraud prevention systems, tool performance and driving the progression of Ally's anti-fraud and Financial Crimes program. As the Director of Fraud Systems Engineering you will be working with senior leaders, business translators, business units, and technology partners to develop and implement the enterprise fraud standards and technology roadmap. This is a leadership role that requires Financial Crimes and technical acumen as well as the ability to simplify concepts for cross functional teams.This role requires an experienced professional who can shift between detecting and predicting fraud while understanding user experience and the functional expectations of the business. Working directly with dedicated fraud subject matter experts, Information Technology development and Data Analysts, this leader will drive and shape many aspects of Ally's enterprise fraud and technology roadmap.The Work ItselfWork closely with BL and Enterprise Fraud, AML and IT partners to document fraud detection and response system requirements for design and implementationDevelop enterprise fraud technology standards and roadmap, working closely with project management to implement across applicable tools and processesPartner with Bl's and Enterprise functions to deploy technology in a standardized mannerWork closely with IT partners to enhance user experience to maximize users effectiveness will operating toolsUtilize technology to evaluate enterprise fraud tools effectiveness and ensure fraud tools are operating at expected levelsEvaluate new fraud tools for integration into the Ally environmentWork with frontend and backend engineers on design and implementation of enterprise fraud toolsDocument and standardize fraud prevention features, methodologies and response processesThe Skills You BringB.S. Degree in a quantitative discipline, eg Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science7+ years of experience as a fraud analyst or system engineerAbility to extrapolate emerging fraud techniques and their applications to construct roadmaps for future applicationsExtensive experience in implementing fraud tools and project management skills required to implementComprehensive knowledge of modern and cutting-edge Fraud Detection and Response techniques, tools, and best practicesProven track record in creating and managing proof-of-concept (POC) projects and successful knowledge transfer of POC concepts to production level implementationsProven track record of strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsExperience managing multiple 3rd-party risk systems and api-based solutionsExperience performing anti-fraud engineering and/or compliance engineeringAbility to centralize complex processes and data sources for programmatic actionThe mindset of an attacker: Ability to identify, classify and categorize fraud vulnerabilities and recommend remediation to engineering teamsHow We'll Have Your BackAlly's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
