Duties

• You will perform as a first responder through emergency medical, water rescue, confined space rescue and tactical.
• You will use fire prevention techniques, fire safety for inspection of buildings and spill response response.
• You will operate three engine companies, two aerial ladder truck, ambulances and brush units.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to possess and maintain a current HAZARDOUS MATERIAL OPERATIONS certification.
• You will be required to possess and maintain a current National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, 800 certification.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing duties as part of an emergency response team with tasks involving delivery of emergency services during fire, medical rescue, mass casualty, natural disaster, hazardous material spills, or acts of terrorism.
