SummaryLidl US is seeking a Sales & Use Tax Manager who will be responsible for ensuring timely compliance with all fiscal tax laws, statutory notices, and orders to which the company is subject to. Additionally, this position provides support to other departments & leadership in response to tax-relevant issues to ensure the Company remains in good standing with all federal, state, and local authorities.What You'll DoManage all aspects of the preparation and submission of tax filings, accompanying documents, notifications, and other tax-related correspondenceAdvise management about issues such as tax strategies, resource utilization, and the assumptions underlying forecastsRepresent the company before taxing authorities and provide support during litigation involving financial issuesAnalyze and communicate the tax implications of operational business processes and/or transactions to relevant partiesDefine, document, and implement necessary tax-related policies and procedures, including tax processes and key-user functions for tax-relevant systemsCommunicate and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as requiredStay abreast of legal developments and industry positions in order to accurately evaluate options and responses to requests for information from management and government officialsWhat You'll NeedBA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance3 - 5 years of experience sales & use taxIn lieu of degree, a total number of 7+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed aboveExpert understanding of US tax regulations and compliance requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-taskStrong analytical and quantitative abilitiesCPA, MST or tax law background PreferredKnowledge and familiarity with financial accounting PreferredExperience working in public accounting or large corporate environment PreferredWhat You'll ReceiveAt Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
