Job Description: -Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. -Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. -Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. -Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. -Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. -Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: -Inspect components before assembly or Test -Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards -Maintain testing methods and equipment -Assemble and calibrate testing equipment -Use testing data to recommend improvements to the production process Skills and Competencies: -Analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills -Basic engineering and scientific knowledge -Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills -Strong attention to detail -Experience using mathematical concepts such as ratios and fractions. --bility to define problems verbally and in writing -Experience analyzing data and drawing valid conclusions from that data Qualifications: Must have Active Secret Clearance to start.
