PRIMARY PURPOSE The Vice President, Digital will lead COMPANY's digital presence (online communications and content, websites, and social communities) and oversee its execution. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESContent Creation:Supervise and drive content creation for COMPANY.org and COMPANY's digital properties and social media properties to ensure cohesion, consistency of content and message across all properties.Ensure pipeline of fresh contentMonitor content shelf lifeIdentify content gapsContent Platforms:Develop and maintain all of COMPANY's web-based properties and drive strategies to maximize our web-based presence.Create and implement a system that strengthens COMPANY's social media presence and credibility.Offer guidance on data overhaul and implementation of improved database system.Translate COMPANY's business needs into technical capabilities to foster online engagement for COMPANY staff.Create relationships across all stakeholders to support understanding of COMPANY's online communications.Analytics:Measure, analyze and optimize the effectiveness of digital properties, campaigns and activities; including email.Management Tasks: oOversee internal and external teams - including agency management - responsible for content creation, digital advertising, and distribution.Be responsible for overseeing budget management for digital expenses and contracts.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSProven writing, editing, and verbal skills demonstrating a strong command of English, with an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, direct, and engaging style.Experience writing and editing for the web.Knowledge of database management.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS.Knowledge of Drupal, Marketo, and Salesforce.Knowledge of digital video/audio editing software (Adobe Premiere, or similar.)Excellent project management skills strategic thinker and team playerExperience using social media tools and platforms.Must be able to work independently and with minimal guidance.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEDemonstrated success for building and maintaining large, complex websites.Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or communications technology or related field.7-10 years of relevant professional experience digital communications, content production, branding, and web managementStrong diplomatic and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently under stress and to juggle multiple tasks under deadlines.
