Find your future with us.The Boeing Enterprise Product Security Engineering (PSE) Functional Office is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Security Engineer to join our team as the engineering lead, accountable to the Director, Enterprise PSE to provide enabling engineering capabilities that allow Product Security and partner engineering organizations to perform their job effectively, efficiently, and completely. These capabilities enable and follow PSE Design Practices. PSE is responsible for ensuring that our products and services are safe, cyber-secure, and resilient.In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, direction, and coordinated execution with Enterprise-wide investments to achieve an Ecosystem of Digital Engineering Tools and Technologies, that deliver solutions to our engineers and programs to achieve critical security and resiliency objectives. You will partner closely with PSE Technical Excellence and Design Practice leadership, as well as PSE Business Architecture and Engineering Integration teams to ensure the successful delivery and transition of solutions. Digital Engineering includes a wide-array of systems and software technologies, such as: model based security engineering; systems, risk and adversity analysis; software development lifecycle capabilities; security related testing and training; virtualization and high-fidelity representations; and a wide array of analytics and decision aids.Position Responsibilities:Enterprise engineering technical leader, working across the enterprise functional office to establish and execute Digital Engineering Ecosystem StrategySupporting engineering in the execution of Boeing PSE Design Practice & Directives through robust and efficient engineering tools/capabilities, that support and enable product-centric PSE solutionsFeature / use case solicitation, prioritization, alignment to PSE Technology Strategy and RoadmapDevelop Technology Roadmaps aligned to enterprise PSE / Partner Strategies - includes implementation approaches and dependenciesSecuring and aligning funding and resourcing, through enterprise and partner organizations including, but not limited to - Business Architecture / Engineering Integration, Model Based Engineering, enterprise investments in digital tools and technologies, and other business partners.Provide direction to associated initiatives, and support project / staffing alignmentLead priority engineering initiatives in the ecosystemEnterprise RAA for the incubation, transition, and sustainment of engineering tools and capabilitiesThis role will leverage critical experience in systems and software engineering, cybersecurity engineering, systems analysis, model based engineering, and technical project leadership. The successful candidate will work across the enterprise and with the enterprise users of ecosystem features. As such, this role directs the development, implementation, and sustainment of new and innovative approaches and technologies that support the integration of Product Security and Resiliency through the overall product lifecycle. This position will be the principal representative for our PSE Digital Engineering strategy and resulting ecosystem of methods and solutions. It is expected that this position will establish requirements for and lead execution of evolutionary and novel solutions.Technical and Operational Skills and Experience:The successful candidate will have understanding of and possess demonstrable skills and experience, including:Developing, delivering, and supporting products and systemsPlanning, executing, and leading the performance of a multi-discipline engineering teamDigital engineering tools and techniques, including Model Based Engineering, Analytics, Decision Aids, and associated knowledge models and techniquesDesigning and developing digital tools and technologies associated with cybersecurity solutions and product security engineeringApplying cybersecurity standards and methods, including Cyber Security Framework and Risk Management Framework to a product for security and resiliency, and compliance outcomesSoftware development, preferably across the lifecycle of software design, development, test, and delivery with proven experience in delivering technical capabilitiesSystems and/or software engineering activities, including:Development of Architecture, Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use CasesDevelopment of Hardware and Software productsIntegration and Unit TestVerification and ValidationTesting, including Acceptance and Fielding TestsUse of Model Based Engineering tools, such as CAMEO, and the application of relevant markup languages such as UML and SysMLUsing Development - Security - Operations (DevSecOps) relevant tools and methodologiesOther Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of performance and delivery in systems or software engineering, and experience throughout the course of the engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated history and experience in strategic thinking, project planning and execution, influencing and organizing multi-discipline teams, and working with a variety of customers. Successful candidates are highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and multi-discipline program and environment.It will be beneficial for the candidate to have an understanding and working knowledge of various standards, including: DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, CNSSI 1253, DOD 8570, NIST 800-160, NIST 800-53 (and 53A), NIST 800-30, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-55, NIST 800-137, NIST 800-39.Minimum technical BS degree in one or more fields of study, including: computer science; software engineering; systems engineering; computer engineering; electrical engineering; and cybersecurity engineering.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry?Engineering experience with building and delivering products and/or systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active US Security clearanceExperience with planning, executing, and leading the performance of a multi-discipline engineering teamSystems Engineer and/ or Software Engineering experienceExperience with integration and testExperience with verification and validationTypical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
