SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing office space build-outs, reconfigurations, and facility management for the CBP Mission Support Facilities Program Management Office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the Following: Assists in the review and oversight of facilities projects designed to maintain, modernize and/or renovate existing facilities as well as construction of new facilities. Develops design strategies for new construction projects and renovation of existing building interiors. Maintains project costs, tasks, milestones, and deadlines. Completes weekly and monthly internal and external reporting. Perform quality control and assurance inspections and surveys. Develops project briefings and presentations. Provides project team coordination for finished plans, specifications and material selection required for construction. Reviews AutoCAD construction drawings and perform support functions as directed to meet the budget, schedule and project design goals. Collaborates with project team members to ensure compliance with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and safety, and Agency requirements. Gathers project requirements; build estimates, develop schedules, and execute projects. Develops project briefings and presentations for senior management. Maintains and organizes project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information. Investigates and resolves facility construction and renovation issues Captures action items for project management teams, capture meeting minutes and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders. Perform daily, monthly and annual scheduled preventative maintenance (PM's), service and repairs of the facilities mechanical and electrical systems throughout the building. Manage mechanical and electrical systems, equipment and apparatus by interpreting blueprints, schematics, manufacturers specifications and verbal instructions, as well as planning, coordinating and scheduling projects to ensure the completion of project deadlines. Assist with electrical, mechanical, furniture layout and maintenance. Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair or maintenance. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution. Maintain a variety of records and prepare reports for management review Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY This position has no supervisory or management authority EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BA/BS Degree in architecture, interior design, or related field with 5-10 years of related experience supporting facility management, or High School Diploma with 15+ years of facility management experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of furniture procurement and installation Ability to coordinate the following facility planning requirements: IT, Security, Furniture procurement and configuration, and construction Familiarity with MS Project Strong communication skills Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication analysis, and interpersonal skills. Must hold and maintain must hold and maintain a public trust clearance.
