The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting team by supporting the Accounting Manager with the monthly close and account reconciliations.Position Reports to Accounting ManagerPrimary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for certain month and year-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy of Avendra financial statements; in particular, related to the consolidation of Aramark and Avendra entriesPrepare necessary files and journal entries for monthly closing of the financial books, primarily related to consolidation Prepare and maintain related tracking schedulesInteract with internal staff to resolve issues or identify potential adjustments, accruals and general variance explanationsReconcile monthly financial statements Consolidate schedules for the monthly management reporting package and prepare assigned reportsPerform Blackline administrator dutiesAssist with preparation of the quarterly reporting packageReconcile assigned balance sheet accounts in BlacklineSecondary ResponsibilitiesDevelop financial reports utilizing the Excel based report writer, Jet reports, as neededAssist revenue and general ledger teams as neededParticipate in special projectsPerform research, as requestedPrimary Competencies Functional/Technical Skills Problem Solving & Analytical Skills Quality & Continuous Improvement Effective Written and Oral Communications Taking Initiative Results OrientationIndependent TroubleshootingTime Management and Ability to Handle Multiple PrioritiesOther Duties.
