POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Director of Finance & Investor Relations will work in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer and relevant DiamondRock Hospitality (DRHC) personnel to bring creative thought and operational excellence to investor relations, capital markets transactions, and enterprise analytics.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: INVESTOR RELATIONSWorks with Chief Financial Officer to plan and execute a robust investor relations program to broaden and increase shareholder value and enhance the company's image within the investment community. Primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, and leading quarterly earning calls, road shows, analyst meetings, conference schedules, and shareholder events as needed.Create investor presentations, press releases, and any other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors.Research economic, industry, and market trends. Maintains comprehensive competitive analysis, including operating measures and financial metrics.Educate investors and analysts in a prompt, detailed and accurate manner on the company's operating and financial performance within the broader context of the company's long-term vision and strategy.Monitor and summarize key analyst reports for senior managementAssist analyst community with investment models.Manages the company web site and social media outlets KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: FINANCE Works with Chief Financial Officer on all capital markets transactions, enterprise analyses, and relevant projects to create shareholder value through improved organizational effectiveness and efficiency.Primary responsibility for maintaining a complex and comprehensive corporate financial model to understand the impact of industry trends, acquisition/disposition opportunities, debt/equity capital transactions, and balance sheet strategies on our long-term earnings forecast and valuation.Prepare a monthly/quarterly update of pertinent long-term financial metrics for senior executives including changes to covenant compliance, liquidity, investment capacity, earnings, and valuation.Assist senior executives with the preparation of analyses and presentations for the BoardSupport CFO and relevant personnel in ESG-related matters including coordinating with outside consultants, aggregating ESG-related data, preparation of annual ESG data submissions, and responding to ad hoc questionnaires from investors and analysts. Review, analyze and recommend initiatives to advance ESG performance. Work with internal partners to review, improve and update the annual Corporate Responsibility report.Support debt financing efforts, including due diligence and lender coordinationSupport common & preferred equity offering processDirectly assist CFO and other senior executives on all strategic and ad hoc projects. SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree, a concentration in Finance, Economics or Accounting is preferredIdeal candidate has 3-5 years' experience in REIT buy/sell-side research, investment banking, or investor relations.Commercial real estate experience is preferred. Hotel experience preferred but not required.Ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic who can multi-task effectively and achieve deadlines. She/he is meticulous, exhibits the highest level of integrity and judgement, and possesses strong financial and analytical skills. She/he has solid interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently communicate complex ideas to senior management and the investment community.Advanced/expert-level skills using Microsoft Excel to prepare complex and flexible financial models, valuations, and sensitivity analyses.Advanced/expert level skill using Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare high quality presentations that communicate complex concepts in a succinct and visually appealing manner.
