The Carpenter will use woodworking skills to build and repair various structures and equipment throughout the property.Duties and Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from cabinets to insulation to tile to drywall.Assure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.Provide excellent resident service, including the timely completions of resident service requests and move-in check list deficiencies and the delivery of well-turned apartments to new residents.Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition.Conduct building inspections and identify needed repairs.Document repairs and maintain thorough records.Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed.Build doors, cabinets, and windows.Measure and mark materials for alterations.Work as part of the maintenance team, occasionally.Perform touch-up or incidental painting after structure repairs.Maintain a working knowledge of all carpenter shop equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.Experience with renovations of kitchens and baths.Excellent dry-wall skills.Residential turn-over experience is preferred.Experience with ceramic tile.Experience with interior door installation.Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools.Valid Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and tools.May be required to work at various locations/properties within the company.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery.Benefits Offered: (after 60 days of employment)Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401kLife insuranceShort- & Long-Term Disability Insurance
