We put patients first by focusing on the highest quality care practices and advanced technologies while keeping patient safety a top priority.A' A' A' HCA StaRN Nurse Residency Program StaRN stands for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses. Our one year long program is specific to the unit you are hired into. This is a full-time, paid and benefited career choice that is designed to enhance your nursing skillsets and knowledge while simultaneously promoting your professional growth and development. A' 11A' Week Orientation: 5A' weeks in classroom setting to include a combination of self-study, hands-on skills/simulations, and EKG (Electrocardiogram), TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, and CPI (Crisis Prevention) certifications This portion of training will take place in Richmond, VA 6 weeks of preceptorship with a designated and trained preceptorA' After orientation, throughout the remainder of your first year, you will participate in our Professional Development Residency for your ongoing support: We pair you with a designated mentor for extra support You will collaborate with your mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (opportunity to gain recognition by facility and/or corporate level) Monthly resident seminars provide ongoing education to include Intro to Charge Nurse Education Monthly meetings with your nursing director to track your progress, successes, challenges, future goals, etc.A' A' Cohort Start Date:A' February & March 2022 A' Additional Information about our Medical Surgical Units: A' Medical Surgical Telemetry: 18-bed unit where all beds are equipped for telemetry monitoring Medical Surgical Oncology:A' 36-bed unit providing compassionate care to medical, surgical and oncology patients Our units offerA' nurses the opportunity to build a diverse skill set working with patients enduring a variety of conditions New nurses on our units willA' build a strong foundation in nursing that will help themA' grow professionally long-term A new graduate nurse on our unit should be motivated to learn and value teamwork A' WHAT BENEFITS DO WE OFFER?A' We offer you an excellent total compensation package, including competitive salary, excellent benefit package and growth opportunities.
