Job descriptionAs an Infant and Toddler Teacher at the Primrose School of Gambrills you will help young minds explore, discover and understand the world around them. The Primrose School of Gambrills is located at 670 MD Route 3 Southbound Gambrills, MD.We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Teachers to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.Primrose School of Gambrills is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops, documents, and maintains a variety of fun and educational programs and activitiesInteracts with children at their level (stoop and bend) both physically and verbally throughout the dayEvaluates and analyzes student learningMaintains records of students and their progressObserves and responds to children's needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in a classroom, on the playground, in bathrooms, or in common areasHelps children with personal hygiene and with keeping classroom clean and organizedManages supplies and ensures orderly work areasMeets with parents, staff, and administration and attends staff meetings and other events as needed/requestedPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSOne year of progressive and relevant child care experienceMust meet all state qualifications for classroom teaching positions and maintain state in-service requirementsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressAble to interact with students of all ages and skill levelsHighly professional and dependablePleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personalityAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as neededAble to stand on your feet for long periods of time, at least 95% of the dayProficient computer and internet skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: From $15.00 per hourCOVID-19 considerations:We have very strict and thorough policies in place to maintain a safe and healthy work place.
