If youre looking for a Made to Order career, hit that APPLY button and lets chat!This position is remote if located in our 6 state footprint: Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, or North Carolina.The Senior Programmer works with the API/Integration Team, end customers, architects, business and IT partners to design, develop and implement data integration solutions. This individual will build and maintain integrations for mission-critical business, store and corporate environments. Muat be capable of understanding business requirements, working with end users, software development concepts and deploying code to support integrations between platforms.What youll do:The Senior Programmer provides advanced level technology solutions and supports major initiatives as deemed necessary. This position is expected to share expertise and act as a mentor to less experienced personnel in the Applications and Development discipline.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)Possess advanced knowledge of multiple applications and function as an advanced escalation resource for application projects, whether in production or in the development / implementation process.Provide advanced technical advice less experienced Applications and Development personnel.Create and tune advanced SQL queries as part of the application development process.Facilitate teams that may include peer-level professionals, specialized technicians, managers, contractors, consultants and/or customers.Provide mentoring / coaching / code review / documentation review to Applications and Development staff.Provide advanced level development for the implementation of ideas from inception through the software development life cycle, using Sheetz approved development tools.Work closely with other disciplines to provide advanced guidance for technology solutions.Stay up to date on the production technology solutions by attending related training and conferences as approved by management.Provide evening and weekend on call/issue support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require support at any time.Provide oversight and leadership to Applications and Development personnel on the Sheetz agile process.Comply with the Sheetz adopted agile and secure coding development methodologies. Refer to the Sheetz Applications and Development Agile Methodology SOP.Experience youll bring:REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)EducationA four-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering; or a four year degree in another field of study which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering is preferredExperience5 years of applicable experience in a technology environment, to include:3 years of experience in an application development role, including demonstrated success with advanced development projectsExperience with programming, logic analysis, and current development methodologies is preferred.Licenses/CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications is preferred:Agile Scrum Master certificationAgile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar certificationCertification in a specific Development methodologyTools & EquipmentGeneral Office EquipmentHow youll grow:We are an innovator in our space and we want to make sure you can keep doing that.
