Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Manufacturing Operations Project Management (OPM) homeroom has an opening for an OPM Manager (M2) in Baltimore, MD to support the Baltimore Mission Systems Division.We are looking for an OPM Manager 2 to support the Global Tactical Business Unit.This is both a functional management position with direct reports and a Project Leadership position. The Manufacturing Operations Project Managers are the interface between the Business Division and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for schedule management and cost accountability of Manufacturing activities for this Business Division.Responsibilities Include:Manage the production execution for Business Unit programsManage Manufacturing cost and schedule performanceServe as Manufacturing lead for all proposals in the Business UnitCreate and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the Manufacturing execution of the programsUnderstand and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management and customersEnsure Manufacturing has the needed resources (resources Manufacturing needs as well as allocation of resources from Manufacturing) to execute the programsServe as Functional Manager and direct the work of the reporting Operations Project ManagersPerform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business DivisionMentor, develop, and assess direct reportsProvide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Manufacturing objectives are achievedProvide Manufacturing expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business DivisionCandidate must have demonstrated ability in working with cross organizational teams and customers; the ability to set and clearly articulate goals/priorities and successfully communicate them to key staff; strong leadership skills; and a track record of building high-performance teams, with a particular focus on employee development, engagement, inclusion, and retention.To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our Selecting the Best Qualified Managers:video: /SQMVideoMANUMSBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience5+ years of experience leading people and/or projects2+ years of direct people leadership experienceExperience working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Operations Project Management (OPM), or similar rolesWorking knowledge of SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systemsThe ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM fieldMaster's DegreeA current Secret clearanceDemonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts: - MRP and IMS Scheduling - SAP production planning and material management tools - ISE/CADSTAR - Earned Value Management - Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and ManufacturingExperience leading Manufacturing proposal efforts that include labor quoting, schedule and capacity analysis, investment planning, and descriptive writing contributionsExcellent presentation and communication skillsProgram execution experienceSalary Range: 110900 - 166300Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
