**Description:**This position is responsible for performing technician-level engineering activities in support of the development of new automated systems to support MSD's consumables manufacturing production. An ET Level 3 will be capable of substantially leading tasks of greater sophistication and complexity than an ET Level 2 and may supervise the work of more junior technicians.* Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices independently or in high-level consultation with engineers* Build and wire complex control panels and systems based on drawings, instructions and guidelines* Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype systems* Source electronic and mechanical components based on required performance specifications* Lead and/or substantially contribute to the development of product assembly, test, calibration, and repair procedures* Maintain tool and equipment inventories for R work* Maintain component inventory for prototype systems* Understand and follow laboratory safety precautions and ensure compliance with company safety policies* Supervise the efforts of more junior technicians* Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements**Skills:**Troubleshooting, assembly, test, technician, instrumentation, electro-mechanical, mechanical, manufacturing, ESD, pipetting, lab equipment, devices, equipment, soldering, PCB, Test design**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**5 + years in Electronics, Mechanical disciplines, or related field or equivalent work experience2+ years of work experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment is requiredExperience with electro-mechanical devices, lab equipment, and/or medical devices is requiredExperience working in a regulated ISO/FDA (GMP) environment preferredBackground in lab skills, pipetting, dispensing chemicals and reagents preferredStrong mechanical/electrical fundamentals and aptitudeAbility to operate test and assembly tools and equipment including: multi-meters, soldering and de-soldering tools, inspection equipment, and various machine-shop, hand, and power toolsAbility to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematicsRoute wiring using knowledge of standard wiring practices and proceduresKnowledge of proper wire stripping, termination, crimping and terminal block installationAbility to test and troubleshoot panelsIsolate faulty panel componentsGeneral computer skills, including Windows, MS Office, email, internet, software installation, and basic computer setup. Working knowledge of Excel for basic manipulation and analysis of test data.Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skillsEffectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact schedules, accuracy and reliability of data, and product qualityA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected including the ability to multi-task and work productively in a demanding environment with changing prioritiesAbility to independently complete assignments with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a team oriented environmentThis position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the workplaceOccasional lifting up to 40 lbs**Experience Level:**Entry Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
