Senior Software Engineer, ATM

We are seeking Full Stack Software Engineers who will have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

"Team Peppa" is Capital One's core ATM team and works closely with cybersecurity to ensure that our ATMs are secure, functioning, and evolving to best serve our valued banking and card customers. While no ATM experience is required, the ideal candidate will be a fast learner who is ready to jump right into this role in the Capital One ATM Kiosk space. This person will quickly learn how ATMs fit into a financial institution's environment and refine their coding and engineering skills to develop new functionality and support issues found in the field. They should have a passion for the connectivity between software and hardware, innovating and driving change, and collaborating with other developers.

The ideal candidate:
  • Full stack developer with experience in computer science capable of designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating testing and deployment
  • Enjoys working with hardware systems, kiosks, or electrical engineering
  • Is a tinkerer and loves to work with a variety of technologies- you enjoy creative coding, Hackathons, and innovative sprints
  • Is willing, and able to work with new technologies and pitch in on story tasks and bug fixes (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc)


Role Responsibilities:
  • General delivery of software components working in collaboration with product and design teams
  • Collaborating with other technology teams to ensure integrated end-to-end design and integration.
  • Enforcing existing process guidelines; drives new processes, guidelines, team rules, and best practices.
  • Working within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across development tools and technologies
  • Leading the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions


Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree

- At least 3 years of software development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- At least 4 years of experience on an ATM Software stack

- At least 4 years of experience with collaborative release processes.

- At least 4 years of experience in Java

- At least 4 years of experience in C++.

- At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Security, GPO, Hardening Windows 10, AWS, and Powershell
