Duties

The Operation Allies Welcome (OAW), Unified Coordination Group (UCG) has been leading the whole-of-nation effort to welcome our Afghan allies and care for them while we help them resettle and integrate into communities across America. The Human Resource/Resource Unit Leader (HRUL) reports to the Finance and Administration Section Chief (FASC) at the UCG and is responsible for maintaining the status of all requested and assigned resources (equipment/supplies) and personnel.

Responsibilities:
· Manage recruitment and hiring activities to include assessing staffing requirements and monitoring the selection of local hires
· Oversee the evaluation of resumes/applications against job order requirements to determine eligibility
· Coordinate with OCHCO to on-board new employees
· Receive and commence sourcing process for resource and personnel requests from Safe Haven HRRLs
· Manage OAW Master Personnel Roster and Resource Request Tracker
· Identify staffing sources for requests from Safe Haven
· Conduct meetings with Safe Haven HRRL and key sourcing partners as needed to clarify and identify staff
· Attend meetings as directed

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be a current Department of Homeland Security employee
  • Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment.
  • Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
  • Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation
  • Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity*
  • The program does not apply to members of the Military service or contractors.
  • Must complete DHS 250-2 Application Form.? Supervisory signature is required.? Please see "Required Documents" section for form.
