Role: Financial AnalystLocation: Columbia, MD (initially remote)Apex Systems is assisting a large Financial Client to identify a motivated Financial Analyst to join their team in Columbia, MD. This company is hiring an individual that shows aptitude to learn & the want to grow within the company. The position is a 3-6 month contract, with the opportunity to convert full time. The successful candidate must be savvy with Excel, have a strong analytical background, and have the ability to learn quickly and take initiative.There are 2 openings available within the same team- Financial Analyst & Jr. Financial AnalystBackground and experience needed: Jr. Financial Analyst1-2 years of experience in a Financial Data Analysis role, and/or a Internship with a reputable company.Bachelor's Degree in:BusinessFinanceMathEconomicsOr similar fieldStrong Microsoft Excel experienceAbility to work in a performance and deadline driven environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsResponsibilities:Finance Analysts are responsible for data entry, data management, accounting and analyses of pooled data from various servicers. Database systems, mostly Excel, are used regularly to ensure any variance in data is identified and corrected. Candidates need to have at least an intermediate understanding of Excel - ability to create V-Look ups and Pivot Tables.
