What type of Work will the WEI driver do? Transporting scaffolding and other supplies to construction sites in the metropolitan Baltimore and DC areas; Planning routes and meet delivery deadlines; Lots of heavy lifting of equipment on and off the box truck; Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and preventative maintenance; Sanitizing cabs before and after use; Working as a Groundsman when the driving schedule is slow; Able to drive distances What does a WEI driver you need to know? Have the knowledge and experience of a skilled 26 foot box truck driver; Know Safe methods of loading and unloading heavy equipment; Basic understanding of how a construction site works; Critical thinking of placement of equipment and supplies on a box; Active listening and points being made when equipment and supply requests are being made. What are the Detailed Work Activities? Typical work week is 40 hrs a week, some overtime may be required on weekends. Frequently load equipment, supplies and scaffolding. Drive to various construction sites or to other states to pick up supplies. Take inventory and straighten contents of C containers Move heavy or large equipment. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Custodial maintenance to office and grounds, when driving runs are slow Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. What type of Benefits does WEI offer?
