We are seeking aSite Superintendentto support our team based at thePentagonfor an exciting, new and long-term energy efficiency initiative project. Primary work will be overseeing the electrical installations teams overnight. Location: Position will primarily support the Pentagon. (Military experience not required)Schedule: Primarily supports night shift. Flexible start time between 6:00pm-8:00pm (employees choice). Shift will be four, 10 hour shifts somewhere between the hours of 6:00pm - 6:00am (depending on start time). Benefits:Eligible for benefits on first day of employmentVacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation per calendar year What you will doUnder general supervision, the Superintendent supervises the field construction process of assigned projects in accordance with the plans and specifications, to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer. The Superintendent supervises, inspects, reviews, records and reports on all site construction related activity ensuring that the assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule. May supervise one or more projects at the same time. How you will do it Understand and develop means and methods for the construction/installation requirements of the particular project (in conjunction with Project Manager). Supervise and coordinate activities of all employees and subcontractors. Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress of work with schedule updates (in conjunction with Project Manager) Prepare budgets and forecasts (in conjunction with Project Manager) Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with client. Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other JCI groups. Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities. Identify and correct issues or deficiencies and/or escalate issues and deficiencies up the management chain to Project Manager and/or regional management. Conducts extensive self study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in companys product lines. Completes certifications as required by the company. Provide progress and daily reports detailing work completed and deficiencies noted. Track issues to completion. What we look forRequired: Five (5) or more years of project coordination and supervision of construction projects. Excellent interpersonal skills for employee supervision and client interface Ability to support night shift schedule. The ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances for assigned projects. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.) Preferred Experience working with electrical projects Experience working with HVAC and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. Experience working with Metasys Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems highly preferred.
