Description: BRG seeks an enthusiastic Business and Legal Research Analyst to join our team. This position will support business development initiatives related to client development, market intelligence, and lead generation. We are looking for a proactive, independent team player with a strong research background. Responsibilities: Perform high quality in-depth legal, corporate and miscellaneous research to support the firms Business and Client Development teams using a variety of resources Research and identify specific trends in litigation, key prospects, industries, markets, and competitors Track potential matters and clients Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate this effort with team members Prioritize and respond to requests, analyze and synthesize requests, compile answers and communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner Work with the Client Development team to develop and monitor the success of initiatives Facilitate the planning, implementation and follow-up of new business or cross marketing opportunities Compile CVs and case examples for pitch materials, RFP's and other business development materials Use the firms CRM system (Interaction) to support business development activities Qualifications: 4+ years in a law firm or professional services corporation in a reference/research position and expertise in legal and corporate research Bachelors degree is required. Masters degree in Librarianship or Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution or JD from an ABA-accredited institution is preferred. In-depth knowledge of research resources including, but not limited to, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, S Capital IQ, Pitchbook, etc. Knowledge of a wide variety of general electronic research databases, both fee-based and free, subject-specific databases, and legal analytics tools, required. Familiarity with Am Law 100 and major London law firms Excellent communication skills required; must be able to effectively deliver and explain research findings to team and management, both verbally and through written summaries and analysis Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and to collaborate with team members and others in the firm to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels, and superb project management skills High level of attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills Strong team player with the ability to be flexible and work harmoniously with team members Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
