The Senior Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the manufacturing facility and local equipment. They will oversee systems that include heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, water purification, air filtering, electrical, lab spaces, and cleanrooms. The Senior Facilities Technician will also be responsible for authoring and reviewing change controls, logbooks, non-conformances, calibration and preventative maintenance documentation, and equipment qualifications in compliance with local procedures, cGMP, cGTP, FDA and AATB regulations. Responsibilities: This role is responsible for the following: Maintenance of all facility and process equipment, structures, and systems through proper housekeeping, maintenance, repair and replacement to assure cleanliness, functionality, integrity, and safe operation Monitoring of facility and process equipment and systems through building management system and physical checks. Monitoring and purchasing parts and materials through established systems and controls to assure availability for maintenance and repair jobs. Assistance with the selection, training, and supervision of contractors and vendors to assist with site jobs. This role is responsible for authoring and reviewing non-conformances / deviations, performing investigations and root cause analysis, and ensuring corrective actions are appropriately implemented. Updating SOPs, Forms and other controlled documents, as required. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Required to participate in on-call weekend schedule. Perform other duties, as assigned. Location: Columbia, Maryland Education: Minimum of a high school diploma. Advanced degree / technical degree preferred Licenses/ Certifications: Fourth Grade Stationary Engineer's license. HVAC License. Experience: The candidate must have 5+ years of facilities experience within a regulated industry, preferably, an FDA regulated industry. Working knowledge of calibration/maintenance software such as Calman and Mainsaver preferred. Competences: The candidate requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a collaborative mindset The candidate must have the ability to interact professionally at multiple levels. The candidate must have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and unforeseen events; excellent time management skills. The candidate must be able to handle high pressure situations and constructively resolve potential conflicts. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
