Knorr-Bremse, the global market leader for braking systems and other systems for rail and commercial vehiclesObjectives:Assemble components such as sub-assemblies, brake units, door motor drives, wiring harness, and detail parts working at assembly bench. Must be able to assemble, test and repair of mechanical equipment utilizing various measurement devices, hand and power tools. Assemble mechanical assemblies.Essential Functions:1. Assemble parts or components to build a whole new product.2. Contribute in fitting, building, or reconstruction of various parts to ensure smooth process of component amalgamation.3. Study, read, and understand the schematic diagrams, blueprints, product manuals, process documents, and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc.4. Set up, arrange, and operate equipment (if applicable), as per the specifications and instructions from the Cell Leader or Supervisor.5. Implement and identify needs for improvement by conveying it to the senior personnel, so that quality of products is maintained.6. Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.7. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.8. Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable. Technical:1. Technical Capacity: controls and instrumentation 2. Mechanical Aptitude: equipment maintenance, mechanical inspection tools and tooling 3. Problem Solving and Decision Making (in making job decisions, the incumbent is guided by policy, routine and procedures)
