Assistant Project Manager
Growing interiors focused general contractor looking to hire a APM or PM to join their team. Your new company: A General Contractor based in Loudoun County with a commercial real estate arm, are looking to hire an APM (or Jnr PM) that has the desire to join the organizations fast-track Project Manager program where you gain valuable skills in pre-construction, field management and project management. This commercial construction general contractor is looking for a passionate, driven, and career focused Assistant Project Manager. Your new role: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be provided the opportunity run your own projects as a lead project manager. This is likely to be on smaller interior projects as you continue to grow your skill set. You will have exposure to planning, scheduling, cost control, subcontractor solicitation and buyout as well as all construction documentation and administration to ensure the commercial interior projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also get exposure to larger scale projects, helping out the Senior Project Manager. This organization take pride in developing the skill set of their employees. Full support will be provided by the Vice President of Construction. Promotions are based on merit and application; this is not a corporate structure where you have to spend a set time or meet specific metrics. The construction projects will all be interior focused, commercial office space, healthcare facilities, retail stores, restaurants, data centers and local government facilities. What you'll need to succeed: My client is interested in talking to Assistant Project Managers with 2-5 years in commercial construction experience with knowledge on interior projects. My client would consider APMs or PMs that are currently working for a subcontractor who are looking for a step up in their career through joining a general contractor. A college degree in construction, engineering, or similar is required and your commitment to delivering high quality projects is a must. What you'll get in return: Salary: Base salary of up to $100k depending on experience/skill level. Bonus: Annual Bonus based on performance.
