The primary purpose of this job is to oversee the overall coordination of selling and/or securitizing and delivering whole loans and participation loan sales of consumer loans to designated investors. This role will be the primary point of contact for the PenFed's Capital Markets supporting sale and investor reporting post transaction execution. This role will direct the successful execution of strategic projects that advance PenFed's Secondary Marketing business and provides guidance on complex and escalated Loan Delivery issues. In addition, this role will manage projects aimed at identifying process improvements to gain efficiencies with a focus on risk management.ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned.Partnering with Capital Markets and Consumer Banking to support investor due diligence including but not limited to answering any investor questions, provide performance data, and ensure timely closure of the sale transaction.Develop and revise Loan Delivery policies, procedures and controls in coordination with Finance/Accounting as necessary.Assist with creation and transmission of loan data to investors; assist with resolving documentation and system edit issues.Maintain open lines of communication and strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including not limited to Capital Market, Consumer Banking product teams, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Operational Risk and Controls.Coordinate with other internal stakeholders to produce standardized investor portfolio/ reporting for loan portfolio performance monitoring, such as origination stats, delinquency loss and recovery rates, prepayment rates and relative trends based on actual and future looking assumptionsManage and motivate team members to ensure consistent and maximum performance levels.Responsible for internal reports as it relates to the loan delivery.Responsible for recruiting, training and continuing professional development of Loan Delivery staff to include coaching and addressing disciplinary issues.Manage workload balancing including approving timecards, overtime, and time off to ensure adequate resources are available to achieve results within budget limitations.Manage multiple complex projects, with shifting priorities that require the ability to work with ambiguous issues and see relationships between them.Develop and manage detailed requirements, project plans and risks/issues/decisions logs and escalate issues as appropriate.Identify opportunities for improvement (eg for operating effectiveness and efficiency) and implement strategic solutions to address business needs.Manage relationships across the organization and with external parties, senior leaders and investors.Ensure effective change management strategy and execution.Develop and/or recommends methods and techniques that will improve sales effectiveness.Maintain knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures to deliver mortgage loans to various investors.QualificationsEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions is required.12 years' of work experience with Loan Portfolio Management, Consumer Banking, Auto, or Unsecured Lending is required.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills is required.Prior experience compiling loan tapes and establishing quality controls to ensure validity of dataA strong understanding of capital markets, partner activities, industry dynamics, and consumer trends.Deep knowledge and thorough understanding of consumer loan portfolios and key monitoring metrics.Must be able to communicate, influence and reason effectively with business and technical partners.Must have the ability to work effectively under aggressive deadlines is required.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position will directly supervise employees.Licenses and CertificationsThere are no additional certifications required.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*TravelAbility to travel to various worksites is required.Special Message Regarding COVID 19PenFed is continuing to hire and train exceptional individuals to help us serve our 2 million members both here and around the world.
