About the PositionEnsemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional cello instructor to teach part-time at Middle C Music, our Washington DC location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in cello performance or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $40-48 per hour as an independent contractor.About Ensemble Music SchoolsEnsemble Music Schools is a partnership of community-driven music schools that maintain individual identities but share resources to ensure their mutual success.This posting is for Middle C Music. We are the only full-service music store operating in the District of Columbia. Our teachers specialize in a variety musical styles and instruments and help students chart a path to successfully learning an instrument or growing singing ability.
