The primary purpose of this position is to work cross-functionally, managing resources across multiple complex projects. The Senior Program Manager, Operations Projects will provide teams with tools and resources to follow delivery best practices and continuously improve overall quality and achieve outcomes. Strong project management skills are a key requirement of this role. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned.Document constraints and assumptions with stakeholders to establish the project deliverables.Determine strategic working objectives, identify gaps, evaluate, recommend, and execute products/strategy to achieve strategic priorities.Create and execute project communications and delivery via status reports and other deliverables necessary to inform and align stakeholders verbally and in writing.Collaborate closely with delivery teams (like external vendors and internal IT), prioritize features and deployment timelines, and be responsible for issue resolution for products.Collaborate closely with IT and technical teams (internal and external) and lend technical expertise in solutions integration and deployment, including requirements specifications.Work as a liaison between vendors, project sponsors, and project teams to facilitate effective project management.Identify needed resources, assign individual responsibilities and tasks, and notify appropriate management if resource constraints will impact the project timeline.Provide program management and technical delivery support for all assigned projects within OperationsKeep all projects within Operations on schedule and within budget.Manage internal project resources to ensure all projects within the program are appropriately staffed.Lead the Operations Help desk function and technical support team, ensuring specialists are responding to inquiries within defined SLAs and surfacing issues to the appropriate teams for reviewFoster a culture of shared ideas and learning, sharing best practices with relevant teams.Establish and maintain optimal platform and product settings and configuration.QualificationsEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's Degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred.Minimum of five (5) years' experience providing business input and requirements for strategic or enterprise projects required.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in financial services.Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including effectively interfacing with leaders and teammates at all levels of the organization, are required.Proven experience with Agile or CICD project methodology.Background in multiple divisions (IT, Operations, Training, Product, Mortgage, etc.) would be highly desired.Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives, executive presentations, and highly developed organizational skills.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position will supervise employees.Licenses and CertificationsPMP or CSM certification highly preferred.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. *TravelAbility to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.Special Message Regarding COVID 19PenFed is continuing to hire and train exceptional individuals to help us serve our 2 million members both here and around the world.
