Parsons System Engineers analyze, design, and develop computer system required to support hardware or technical service products. We need our System Engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills.PROJECT:Parsons is sourcing candidates for a project within the Department of Defense to provide a wide range of skills and expertise to perform technology development, testing, integration of hardware and system applications, and associated documentation and training.RESPONSIBILITIES:Parsons is seeking System Engineers of various experience levels to perform the following:Apply system engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:Experience with the technical process area such as the following, stakeholder requirements, requirement analysis, architectural design, implementation, integration, verification, transition, validation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.Experience with project process area such as, project planning, project assessment and control, decision management, risk management, configuration management, information management, and measurement.Experience in enterprise process such as, project portfolio management, infrastructure management, lifecycle model management, human resource management, and quality management.Acquisition and SupplyREQUIRED CAPABILITIESLEVEL 1:Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288.LEVEL 2:All capabilities described in Level 1, plus:Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with any of the ISO/IEC 15288 processes.LEVEL 3:All capabilities described in Level 1 and Level 2, plus:Perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products in each of the ISO/IEC 15288 Project and Technical Process Areas.Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project's technical design.Perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products of either the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.LEVEL 4:All capabilities described in Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.LEVEL 5:All capabilities described in Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, plus:Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.Lead contractor systems engineering activities for a project to include supervising the work of the project engineering staff and technicians.Approve delivery of work products of multiple Processes Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of their project.LEVEL 6:All capabilities described in Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 5, plus:Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.Approve delivery of work products of all Process Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.Plan and develop engineering projects with unique or complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.Independently resolve important engineering issues requiring the use of advanced technology.QUALIFICATIONSLEVEL 1:A High School Diploma or GEDFour (4) years of general system engineering experience.ORA Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.One (1) year of systems engineering experience.Twelve (12) credit hours of college coursework in one (1) or more of the ISO/IEC 15288 Technical Process Areas may be substituted for the required one (1) year of systems engineering experience.LEVEL 2:A High School Diploma or GEDFour (4) years of general system engineering experience.ORA Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.Four (4) years of systems engineering experience.A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of systems engineering experience.A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three (3) years of systems engineering experience.LEVEL 3:A High School Diploma or GED.Ten (10) years of general system engineering experience.ORA Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.Six (6) years of systems engineering experienceORA Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or
